Well the protest is full scale.

The SCOTUS should respond by saying that before these Senators look to remove the sliver from their eyes they should probably deal with the plank that is in their eyes.  They are trying to politically influence the Supreme Court to supposedly "reduce the influence of politics" in the Supreme Court.  The Senate on its own can't do a damn thing.

A high-ranking editor at The New York Times was demoted following recent incidents that resulted in a heavy backlash on social media.

The Times confirmed to Fox News on Tuesday that the editor, Jonathan Weisman, has been demoted for his "serious lapses in judgment."

"Jonathan Weisman met with [New York Times Executive Editor] Dean Baquet today and apologized for his recent serious lapses in judgment. As a consequence of his actions, he has been demoted and will no longer be overseeing the team that covers Congress or be active on social media. We don't typically discuss personnel matters, but we're doing so in this instance with Jonathan's knowledge," a Times spokesperson told Fox News.

In a now-deleted tweet from late July, Weisman, deputy Washington bureau editor, received unwanted attention for rejecting the notion that Reps. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., are truly "from the Midwest" in response to comments made by former Sen. Claire McCaskill.

"Saying @rashidatlaib (D-Detroit) and @ilhanmn (D-Minneapolis) are from the Midwest is like saying Lloyd Doggett (D-Austin) is from Texas or @repjohnlewis (D-Atlanta) is from the Deep South. C’mon,” Weisman wrote.

The Eric Holder led Obama Administration Department of Justice investigated the shooting and said all of the evidence supported the officer's version of events.  Brown's DNA was found inside the officer's vehicle from his attempt to get his gun and the physical evidence showed Brown was not shot in the back and was approaching the officer.  HANDS UP DON'T SHOOT WAS A LIE FROM THE VERY BEGINNING!!

The combination of the so called community and the so called media is dangerous

The so-called community showing its true colors.

It was a lie by the witness who said it...but it was the continued, pushed in everyones face, repeating of that lie by the media that truly damaged the effectiveness of law enforcement in our country...and I truly believe the country itself. De-policing is a true thing and it started with this. 

Much of our media is truly an enemy of the people and this is a great example of how they damaged our society. 

I agree...but in the big picture...the media is far more dangerous to us than any people or group of people. 

So now the City of Philadelphia police chief is calling for better gun control laws. The shooter in this case is a felon with numerous prior convictions that would preclude him from owning a gun. So what additional law is going to prevent a felon drug dealer from illegally possessing when he already broke numerous laws to get the gun in the first place? Reminds me of the Robin Williams joke about unarmed British police, "STOP!! Or I will yell stop again!!"

The so called community meets the second amendment but the so called media wont tell this story:

Five Chicago teens are being charged with murder after a 14-year-old who was with them during an attempted burglary was shot by the homeowner, authorities said Tuesday.

The group traveled in a stolen Lexus to an Illinois home where they were confronted by the 75-year-old homeowner, according to the Lake County Illinois Sheriff's Office. The man went out to investigate and told authorities he believed someone was trying to steal his car, a 2011 Audi.

"At least one of the male subjects advanced toward him with an unknown object in his hand," officials said in a release. "The homeowner feared for his life and discharged a firearm."

At least one of the rounds from the small caliber revolver struck the 14-year-old, and a knife was later found at the scene of the shooting. The homeowner called 911 to report the attempted burglary and shots fired, but by the time police arrived all of the suspects had fled.

Meanwhile, about 3 miles down the road local police were investigating a traffic crash when the stolen Lexus pulled up to the scene, Detective Sgt. Chris Covelli told reporters at a news conference. Two of the occupants exited the vehicle and one flagged down the officers to assist the other who had a gunshot wound to the head.

Covelli said officers began first aid on the gunshot victim and called an ambulance while the other individual was taken into custody.

The remaining four teens fled in the Lexus "at a high rate of speed," according to Covelli. The ensuing car chase reached speeds of 120 mile per hour and only ended when the Lexus ran out of gas.

The four teens fled the vehicle on foot, three of whom Covelli said were taken into custody "pretty quickly." The fourth suspect was located by an officer and a K-9 about a block away inside a dumpster.

All five of the teens, ages 16 to 18, were charged with first degree murder "due to them being in commission of a forcible felony, when the 14-year-old victim was shot and subsequently died as a result of being shot during the commission of a burglary," authorities said in the release. Only one of the suspects, 18-year-old Diamond Davis, has been identified.
