A 2-year-old boy was shot in the stomach in a "cowardly, violent act" of apparent road rage in Baltimore, authorities said.

"You shot a child. Whoever you thought you were shooting at, you didn't shoot," Baltimore Police Commissioner Michael Harrison said.
The 2-year-old, who had been in the car with his family, was taken to the hospital in "somewhat stable condition" and is expected to survive, police said Saturday.
The boy remained in the hospital Monday morning as the suspected shooter, Javon Johnson, 33, was charged, said police.

A gang of ghoulish bullies broke into a bizarre Halloween dance in front of a television director on his way to work, then pummeled the senior when he tried to walk around them, police said.

John Sullivan, 72, had just gotten off the train at Sixth Ave. near W. 43rd St. about 2:20 a.m. Monday and was heading to 30 Rockefeller Center when nine people in their early 20s suddenly blocked his path.

“They were circling around me, and they were pointing their fingers in my face. They’re dancing, and all of a sudden they’re punching me. They beat the crap out of me," Sullivan, a technical director for Plaza Productions, an NBCUniversal affiliate, told the Daily News.

“The first guy shoved me, then they just started punching,” the New Jersey native told The News. “It went in for about 30 seconds. I didn’t go down. I fought back.”

Sullivan, who decades ago served in the Army Special Forces, tried to block their blows with his briefcase, “but they hit me pretty good," he said.



“I’m like, ‘What are you doing? What’s going on here?’ and they didn’t even answer," he said.

Do President Trump’s policies make me look fat?

That’s the sort of question some black women may be asking themselves, a Rutgers University professor suggested during a recent appearance on the Oprah Winfrey Network.

Although, more accurately, the problem may be the stress and anxiety caused by the policies than the policies themselves, Brittney Cooper, who teaches gender studies at the New Jersey-based university, said on a recent episode of “Black Women OWN the Conversation.”

A Florida man is under arrest after allegedly pouring boiling water on a 3-year-old child as punishment for accidentally urinating on the floor.

A statement from the Volusia Sheriff’s Office alleges Terry May, 47, was arrested last week after an employee at the little boy’s daycare alerted investigators to burns she saw on the victim’s back.

“The investigation revealed May poured boiling water onto the child after the child accidentally urinated on the floor,” the statement reads.

This is the second time May, who is charged with one count of child abuse causing great bodily harm, has been accused of burning a child with boiling water.

In 2018, the sheriff’s office statement indicates the Deltona man was accused of pouring boiling water on a 3-year-old girl.
