via TSN's YouTube page,
Bob McKenzie joins Gino Reda to explain what's holding up the hub city announcement, why there's potential that both hub cities could be in Canada and how all of this is affecting the Return to Play timeline.

How dares he? How dare they? This is not an opinion column. This is not a blog. This is an official obituary in New York Times. Full of lament.

Wonder if Hertl put that trick shot in with one hand between his legs... like on Marty Brion back in Oct. 2013.. story I recall was Hertl kind of stole her from her Czech family when she was 17 and brought her to Calif. That's her & Hertl's mom at 31 seconds in.. Good for them!

Nice of the NHL to put the SCF in Toronto because you know it won't get there otherwise.

They threw them a bone. I do wonder how the vegas books are going to manage this mess.

I think the same woman that watched his four goal game his rookie season. From what I recall she's been with him since he was like 16 or 17 in Czech Rep. Something to be said for being with him prior to his paydays out here.

Nice of the NHL to put the SCF in Toronto because you know it won't get there otherwise. It kind of makes sense being it's such a major metro. Edmonton on the other hand is a little more puzzling. Vancouver may have been a better market (dollars) but I guess is too close to the border? Not that Toronto isn't so I really don't know.

Maybe Edmonton's Wuhan virus stats are better? Not even coronavirus wants to go to Edmonton. I mean, I could certainly see it as a far less active city as far as travel/business destinations go which helps.

I'm begining to doubt if they will pull off this August NHL mini-season. Even during regular season fall training camps, this thing won't be behnd us. Also MLBaseball reporting 31 player Covid cases since new July 1st testing started. Can they really pull off any kind of season? Unbelieveable stuff.

I think the idea is that positive cases are ok now. They can get the 2 week quarantine out of the way now before the games start and everyone is on full lockdown. At this point though, training camps are only start like a month before next year's training camps should have started.

If Covid is mostly 'airborne' as a ton of doctors seem to agree on now, it would seem impossible to contain any Covid 'leakage' into the rink. Recently Talked with the guy that runs our Dublin skate, "If just one guy hits the ice with Covid, all 20 of us would easily have it afterwards.." I tend to agree with him. All the heavy breathing, close contact and criss-crossing into everyones exaust, its impossible not to breathe in other mist, dropletts, etc.. but then European soccer seems to be doing ok so far...

Soccer is outdoors and the contact is not that intense. I think baseball should be pretty safe, I've no idea why MLB is holding out, unless they don't want to play to empty arenas.
