I can't say I care at all. Maybe I'll start caring after tomorrow. I can't stand either of those teams. I was hoping the game would still be going on when I get up at 4:30 tomorrow morning and those assholes had to use up all the ice in St. Louis. Fuck both those teams!

I mostly don't give a damn about Carolina Hurricanes, but what really ticks me off is that all the Corsi jerkoffsvast majority of the hockey analytics community is in love with it because they hired Eric Tulsky and a couple of other guys to run the analytics department.
And since then, when a team does well, and it doesn't fit the community's paradigm (e.g. last year Washington Capitals, or NYI doing better than TOR): Hockey is such a random sport
But now when the Hurricanes are in the CF: Eric Tulsky has done such a great job.

BRUINS, HURRICANES OPEN EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL The Bruins will host the Hurricanes at TD Garden in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Final. This marks the fifth head-to-head postseason meeting between the franchises with Boston holding a 3-1 edge in the four previous series. * The Bruins are making their third trip to the Eastern Conference Final in the last eight years (also 2011 and 2013) – they advanced to the Stanley Cup Final in each of the previous two appearances including a championship triumph in 2011. * The Hurricanes, riding the wave of the franchise’s first-ever sweep in a best-of-seven series, have reached the Conference Finals in each of their last four postseason appearances (also 2002, 2006 and 2009). Only two other franchises have advanced to the Conference Finals in four or more consecutive playoff appearances (regardless of when those occurred) since 1982 when the round was introduced: Detroit (1995-98) and Colorado (1999-2002). * The two clubs last met in the postseason in the 2009 Conference Semifinals, when Scott Walker scored the overtime winner in Game 7 to power the Hurricanes past the Bruins, marking Carolina’s last postseason series win prior to the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Walker became the first player in Hurricanes/Whalers franchise history to score an overtime goal in a Game 7 – a feat Brock McGinn also accomplished in the 2019 First Round at Washington. * Three players who appeared in that 2009 series remain with their respective team, all Bruins: Patrice Bergeron (0-3—3 in 7 GP), David Krejci (0-3—3 in 7 GP) and Zdeno Chara (0-2—2 in 7 GP). Current Hurricanes head coach Rod Brind’Amour also served as captain of the team in 2009, totaling 1-1—2 in the series (7 GP). * The Bruins held a 2-1-0 edge in the regular-season (CAR: 1-1-1) with a pair of stars leading the way for each team in the head-to-head series: Carolina’s Sebastian Aho (4-3—7 in 3 GP vs. BOS) and Boston’s Brad Marchand (2-3—5 in 3 GP vs. CAR).

On one hand, I want to root for the Bruins so the Sharks can beat them and Jumbo can have an even sweeter victory, but on the other, I really enjoy the Canes this post season and it’d be fantastic to see them make it the finals.

I've never seen the analytics community so fired up as after today's officiating. The interference call for a reverse hit was pretty questionable.

Take a look at both questionable penalty calls against Carolina Hurricanes d-man Dougie Hamilton in Game 1 against the Boston Bruins. The first one I can see maybe calling the elbow but the Bruin player should have been called for the clear interference on the Carolina player. The second one they called interference but Bakes had just played the puck so it was complete and total BS.
