Marleau to the Kings makes little sense so I kind of hope it happens and screws both teams. Agree it doesn’t make sense for the Kings. In fact, I can’t think of a team it does make sense for so I assume the Leafs will be stuck with him. |

Marleau would probably waive his NMC to come back to the Sharks for his last year & I'm sure it wouldn't cost the Sharks much to get him. Some fans make like this & some may say to DW to move on |

Also remember that no one really wants to help Toronto to become a perennial contender, everyone should try to make Leafs shed some of the good young cadre they had tanked for.

Marleau potentially pimped a LA King makes the hockey Gods weep. Not much of an on-ice boost, but they'll sell him all season to fickle LA fans for all his polite class and NHL career milestones while LA suffers through a non-competitive season. I think patty more desires to glide into 3rd in all-time games played (77 more) in his last year than deposit another (last) $6m into the bank. It's Hollywood, so maybe the Kings give Patty a $5m bonus to retire into the HHOF as an LA King. who knows these days.
