I want to throw this question out to everyone. Do you see the roster as is: getting back to the playoffs (potentially adding another depth f/a or two) or if continuing with the reset would be justified by trading for Eichel and potentially missing the playoffs again.
*Disclaimer- Not that it really matters because the sharks are not rumored to be in on Eichel (or anyone else) anyway. Pure fantasy at this point.

Sharks should wash their hands of him. Not that they could trade him anywhere but he is a bad guy, there is too much foulness that follows him to deny it. He was their MVP this year but with the reports coming out about locker room unrest he caused you gotta wonder if the positives outweigh the negatives. I’m out on Kane. Just get rid of him at this point. If some of his wife’s accusations are true they can probably terminate his contract free of any cap penalty. |

And I’m saying all of that as someone who supported Kane almost his whole time here. Thought maybe his race played a part in him getting a bad reputation and recognized that his blend of speed, skill, and aggression was something the Sharks had lacked for years. He was the perfect kind of winger they needed in their top six and he seemed to find a home here.
But call a spade a spade, his bad rep is well earned and it hasn’t changed in his time with San Jose.

Wow thats bad. If there is any small chance that any of that truly happened... The sharks need to separate asap. I would hope the NHL would let them terminate without a penalty like John96 said. But then again the sharks have been in the doghouse since they beat Vegas that one time lol.
At this point, if Kanes contract comes off the books... Eichel is that much more obtainable lol.

Look at DeAngelo signing in CAR but betting on your own games is even another level past DeAngelo (Just talking about the on ice stuff) lol. I hope a termination is granted I don't think Bergevin's balls are that big right now to trade for Kane lol even though he is going scorched earth on the NHL. |
