So what changes do you expect besides finding a new GM. Here's one player that sounds like he might be moving on after this mornings locker clean up day
“I signed a contract here for a long time, I was drafted here. I love this place, I love the fans here, I love living here. I’m very fortunate and grateful I get to play for this organization. I’ve said this many times, the fan base here is incredible too…I can’t see myself playing anywhere else.” -Sharks Captain, Logan Couture

“I know I look up to not just the older guys but also the guys around me, even if they’re guys that just came into the league. I look to the way that they prepare and how they play the game. There’s always things you can learn from no matter how long you’ve been here…everybody can learn from everyone.” Mario Ferraro on learning to be a leader.
“We have some young guys coming up, like Bordeleau…and even a lot of guys last couple months like Gregor, Reedy stepping up and playing better…I think there is some light behind the door.” Tomas Hertl says the young guys give him confidence in the team moving forward.
"We were a tight group, we battled for each other, we stuck up for each other and I think that’s already a good sign that things are going in the right direction.” Timo Meier talks with the media during locker clean out.

I think its time to move Couture, he needs a team where he is not expected to be the "top" player or line. Hertl and Meier are right there is hope with the infusion on new guys that showed promise. Maybe with Knyshov fully recovered it will help solidify the D pairings and let players like Meloche and Hataka marinate another season on the Cuda. While I do think they need to clear out anyone who doesn't "want" to be there, there is some youth to look forward to. Plus the Banker will be back and should add to the offense. Maybe Eklund will make the jump full time The sharks do have a goalie to deal before next season, that should bring something back I think the LARGEST change will be coaching. Whether it's firing Bob and hiring new or having Bob change it up because I refuse to believe he had Florida buzzing while he was there with the little talent that was on the team at the time and couldn't get a spark on the sharks. Maybe it was by design for a tank job? who knows... It just seemed that outside Timo and Hertl that all creativity was locked down and it was "the system" or benched. Rant over lol.

My guess is they fire the coach but I don't expect much in the way of change. This team is a mess.

Couture has a NMC. The Sharks can hire Scotty Bowman in his prime as coach and even he couldn’t turn McDonalds hamburger into a NY steak, like Danville said, this team is a mess..

Classic Vlasic- I used to love his arrogance when he could back it up… He hasn’t taken any accountability in any interview in several years, it’s really crazy
Reporter: Is there any concern on your part that the organization might buy out the rest of your contract?
Marc-Edouard Vlasic: No.
Reporter: What gives you so much confidence that they won’t?
MEV: Why would they?
Reporter: To save money on the cap. That’s why teams do that.
MEV: Well. How many guys on the team? 25. So it’s 25 guys.
Reporter: They bought out Martin Jones last year.
MEV: Well, I’m not worried at all. I signed here, they signed me, so I honor the deal.
Reporter: What did you think of your personal form this season?
MEV: Considering I had limited minutes, third on the back-end in points. More physical this year. So imagine if I played more?

“What I really like about this team, especially this year, was our desire or our compete level…You’re kind of born with that or that kind of character gets revealed. So really impressed with that part of our team” James Reimer’s thoughts on the team.
"I think there’s been a lot of guys that have made a lot of steps this year and have improved a lot." - Brent Burns talking to the media during locker clean out day.

NEW YORK (May 1, 2022) – The National Hockey League announced today the odds for clubs participating in the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery, set for Tuesday, May 10, at NHL Network’s Secaucus, N.J., studio. The event will be broadcast live beginning at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, ESPN+, Sportsnet, SN NOW and TVA Sports.
The 2022 NHL Draft Lottery will determine the order of selection for the first 16 picks in the first round of the 2022 NHL Draft. Participants are all teams that did not qualify for the 2022 Stanley Cup Playoffs (or the teams that have acquired the first-round drafting positions of those non-playoff teams).
REMINDER: The NHL announced changes to the Draft Lottery format on March 23, 2021. Among the changes taking effect this season, there will be a limit on the total number of selections (10) a team participating in the Draft Lottery can “move up” in the event it wins one of the Lottery Draws. Thus, only the top 11 seeds will be eligible to receive the first overall selection in the 2022 NHL Draft.
The allocation of odds for the 1st Lottery Draw of the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery is as follows:
Draft Lottery Participants
(Fewest Points to Most)
Odds
Montreal Canadiens
18.5%
Arizona Coyotes
13.5%
Seattle Kraken
11.5%
Philadelphia Flyers
9.5%
New Jersey Devils
8.5%
Chicago Blackhawks *
7.5%
Ottawa Senators
6.5%
Detroit Red Wings
6.0%
Buffalo Sabres
5.0%
Anaheim Ducks
3.5%
San Jose Sharks
3.0%
Columbus Blue Jackets
2.5%
New York Islanders
2.0%
Winnipeg Jets
1.5%
Vancouver Canucks
0.5%
Vegas Golden Knights **
0.5%
* Under the terms of a July 23, 2021 trade, Chicago will transfer its 1st-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft to Columbus if it is not a top 2 pick. If it becomes a top 2 pick as a result of the Draft Lottery, Chicago will retain the pick and instead transfer to Columbus its 1st-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
** Under the terms of a Nov. 4, 2021 trade, Vegas will transfer its 1st-round pick in the 2022 NHL Draft to Buffalo if it is not a top 10 pick. If it becomes a top 10 pick as a result of the Draft Lottery, Vegas will retain the pick and instead transfer to Buffalo its 1st-round pick in the 2023 NHL Draft.
The odds for the remaining teams will increase on a proportionate basis for the 2nd Lottery Draw, based on which team wins the 1st Lottery Draw.
The 14 teams not selected in the 2022 NHL Draft Lottery will be assigned the remaining 2022 NHL Draft selections (among 1 through 16 in the first round), in inverse order of regular-season points.
NHL Central Scouting will release its final rankings for the 2022 NHL Draft on Thursday, May 5. Click here to view the mid-season rankings.
The 2022 NHL Scouting Combine, showcasing the top draft-eligible North American and international prospects, will be held from May 29 – June 4 at KeyBank Center and LECOM Harborcenter in Buffalo, N.Y.
The 2022 NHL Draft will take place at Bell Centre, home of the Montreal Canadiens, over two days. Round 1 will be held on Thursday, July 7, followed by Rounds 2-7 on Friday, July 8.

Sharks interim GM Joe Will said he’s a “big believer” and “bullish” on Marc-Edouard Vlasic. Said he had a great meeting w/Vlasic. Both Will and Bob Boughner said Vlasic played better in the 2nd half of the season.
This is why you need to bring in outsiders to take over… Joe Will basically just said no buy out this year.

If they won't get rid of him then they better have Braun's agent on the phone to get him back in SJ to pair with Vlasic otherwise 7 mil in cap is going to be sitting in the press box a lot next season. Or someone call up Pavelski and ask who his speed skating coach was that made him faster a few years ago lol.
