When You have 3 players on this list, you think one of 2 things. This could be trouble for the Sharks or that its a very week list.

I have a question for the people that are way smarter then me "Most of the people that post in here"? Does the offer sheet compensation change with the salary cap? With more and more players getting higher salaries, one would think that the compensation for a offer sheet would also change. If I read this right. If a player that signs a offer sheet to a different team over 10.5 Mil a year the compensation would be 4 first round picks if current Team declines to match the offer. Anything under 10.5 Mil a Year would be 2 first round picks. In a few Years 30% of the league will be making more then 10.5 Million a Year, is the compensation going to change for an offer sheet?
Not that it's such a common practice. I think it's been 6 Years since the last offer sheet.

I don't think the compensation changes with the Salary Cap, It all depends what's written in the collective bargaining agreement. Don't forget, offer sheets are very rare so most of the discussion about it is pure speculation. It just keeps writers and bloggers entertained until free agency starts

Another Tim Burke selection is a bust.
New Jersey Devils forward Adam Helewka has cleared unconditional waivers and will have his contract terminated.
The Devils were Helewka’s 4th team in a little over a year.
June 15/18 - traded from San Jose to Arizona Feb. 8/19 - traded from Arizona to Nashville Feb. 27/19 - re-signed by Nashville June 23/19 - traded from Nashville to New Jersey June 27/19 - placed on unconditional waivers

I know it's kind of a moot point, but if it's done with the Cba, that really makes it tough to sign someone to an offer sheet. Look what the highest salaries were at the beginning of the last Cba compared to Today. In 2013 Nobody was making over 10.5 a year, now there's going to be a bunch in the next couple of years. Maybe they need to adjust that number to 12 Million a year for 4 first round picks.

I'm surprised Micheal Ferland hasn't garnered more attention. Small-market team I know but the guy is an absolute stud. Wrecking ball who has played well with skilled players everywhere he's been. The guy is a cleaner version of Tom Wilson who can put up 20G and keep everyone honest. If he costs less than what Wilson got he'll be worth every penny.
If the Sharks could, which I doubt, he'd top my list. A top six with Kane riding shotgun to Hertl and Ferland to Couture would be awesome.

Oh Well. Now get some one younger with Speed. Knowing DW he will probably give Marleau a 3 year deal now

I hope DW's answer if Pavelski walks is not Marleau. Maybe Marleau and Perry on the cheap for one Year. Pair them up with Jumbo and You have a line that's scored over 1300 goals in their career with 3500 points. Having said that, I know they're shell of their younger productive self, but it could be a good 3rd line.

If Couture isn’t the next captain this team can suck it. Has to be Logan. I agree 100%...but I can see some folks saying it should be Burns, especially after he finally decided to throw a couple of good hits during the playoffs.
