Finally got around to finishing up my taxes. It looks like my deductions got halved this year. Thanks Trump.... My deductions went down also...but thats more California’s fault then Trump’s. However, I paid much less in taxes during the year due to the new tax brackets so I’m still smiling. I still don’t like that the debt is rising though and would trade the tax cut to pay the debt down.

I paid much less in taxes too, but I forgot to adjust my withholding, so it looks like I'm going to end up paying taxes this year.

Time to start looking for a home in Texas Idiots, you’re not a Californian and/or “qualified” if you’re an illegal immigrant. Our leaders are giving the state away. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised but it makes me sad how broken California is. I’m glad I got my boys out.

Woman harassed 74-year-old man for wearing MAGA hat in Starbucks: 'Get the f*** out of my town' Yahoo Lifestyle Elise Solé,Yahoo Lifestyle 17 hours ago Reactions Reblog on Tumblr Share Tweet Email A California accountant’s attempt to shame an elderly Trump supporter backfired.
On Monday, Palo Alto local Rebecca Parker Mankey told her followers on Facebook that she reamed out a 74-year-old man, reportedly named Victor F., at Starbucks for wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat.
“Anybody in Palo Alto knows this freak,” Mankey wrote alongside photos of the man. “He was sitting in Starbucks. I think he lives in Palo Alto. He will never forget me and will think seriously about wearing that hat in my town ever again. If you see him in this hat, please confront him. You do not want to be the person who didn’t speak up as we slipped into fascism.” She continued, “I yelled at him. Called the entire Starbucks to order and yelled at him more about how it is not ok to hate brown people. He threatened to call the cops. I left after yelling at him some more.” After her lunch break, Mankey said she returned to Starbucks. “I went back in and yelled that I had changed my mind and wanted him to call the police because I wanted to know his name, where he lived, his wife’s name, and where his kids went to school,” she wrote.
Mankey said she followed Victor outside yelling to “Get the f*** out of my town and never come back.” “It is the duty of every white person in America to stand up to this every time they see it,” wrote Mankey. “Don’t be the person who does nothing to protect our brothers and sisters from this hatred. It is not OK.” According to KPIX CBS, Mankey pledged to “publicly shame” the man and “try to get him fired,” writing, “I am going to go to his house and march up and down carrying a sign that says he hates black people. I am going to organize protests where he works to make him feel as unsafe as he made every brown person he met today.”
A deleted Facebook comment from Rebecca Parker Mankey of Palo Alto, vowed to ruin a man’s life because he wore a MAGA hat in Starbucks. (Screenshot: KPIX CBS) A woman named Amy of the Twitter account “Right Hook USA” tweeted Tuesday, “Parker Mankey is doxxing an old man on Facebook because he wore a MAGA hat in public.” Amy called Mankey’s husband’s boss “to show them the violence their employees’ wife is promoting.” Amy tells Yahoo Lifestyle, “I was extremely disturbed when I learned that an elderly man was being humiliated and harassed in public by a vicious bully. I was even more saddened to learn that this gentle old Jewish man has been a pillar in the Palo Alto community for over forty years. I hope and pray that this incident leads to greater tolerance and respect among all Americans, instead of greater hatred and rage.”
Worried someone would hurt the elderly man, Amy called the Palo Alto Police Department. A police spokesperson tells Yahoo Lifestyle there is no incident report on file because a victim has not come forward.
A woman named Rebecca Parker Mankey admitted to harassing an elder man wearing a MAGA hat in Starbucks. (Screenshot: Parker Mankey/Facebook; Right Hook USA/Twitter) On Wednesday, Victor told KPIX CBS, “This crazy woman came over and started raving at me. She turned to the rest of Starbucks and said, ‘Hey everybody, here’s this racist over here. He hates brown people, he’s crazy, he’s a Nazi,’ and so forth.” Victor wears a yarmulke under his MAGA hat. Mankey and her husband closed down their Facebook pages. On Tuesday, Gryphon Stringed Instruments, where Mankey worked as an accountant, wrote, “We would like to make it clear that we do not condone harassment or hate speech of any kind. We are currently addressing the matter internally. Thank you for your concern.”
Later, the store added, “The employee in question has been terminated. Gryphon does not believe anyone should be harassed or subject to hate speech no matter their beliefs. Music has historically been something that has brought people of diverse socio-political backgrounds together.”
On Tuesday, an organization called Bayshore Progressive Democrats, reportedly co-chaired by Mankey, said she and her family were getting death threats. “Parker felt strongly that she wanted to use her privilege as a white woman to stand up for those who are living in fear because of the hateful atmosphere fostered by Trump,” read a website statement. “Unfortunately, the manner in which she chose to stand up against a slogan that stands for racism led to an even stronger hateful response that has endangered her and her family.”
Mankey resigned from the organization the next day. “Earlier today, the officers of the Bayshore Progressive Democrats (BPD) received and accepted Parker Mankey’s resignation as co-chair, officer, and member of our organization,” according to another statement. “From the standpoint of BPD, this matter is now closed. Bayshore Progressive Democrats seeks a world that works for everyone, where all humans have a chance to realize their full potential and to live lives of dignity. Harassment and abuse are inconsistent with these values, and we reject the use of such tactics in civil society.”
A Starbucks representative tells Yahoo Lifestyle that employees at the California Avenue location weren’t aware of the incident until both Mankey and Victor left.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Attorney General William Barr on Thursday defended his handling of special counsel Robert Mueller’s report on the Russia investigation, saying the confidential document contains sensitive grand jury material that prevented it from being immediately released to the public.
The statement came as Barr confronts concerns that his four-page letter summarizing Mueller’s conclusions unduly sanitized the full report in President Donald Trump’s favor, including on the key question of whether the president obstructed justice. House Democrats on Wednesday approved subpoenas for Mueller’s entire report and any exhibits and other underlying evidence that the Justice Department might withhold.
The disparity in length between Barr’s letter and Mueller’s full report, which totals nearly 400 pages, raises the likelihood of additional significant information that was put forward by the special counsel’s office but not immediately shared by the attorney general.
In Thursday’s statement, Barr defended the decision to release a brief summary letter two days after receiving the report on March 22. He has previously said he did not believe it would be in the public’s interest to release the full document in piecemeal or gradual fashion, and that he did not intend for his letter summarizing Mueller’s “principal conclusions” to be an “exhaustive recounting” of the special counsel’s investigation.
Barr is now expected to release the entire report, with redactions, by mid-April.
“Given the extraordinary public interest in the matter, the Attorney General decided to release the report’s bottom-line findings and his conclusions immediately — without attempting to summarize the report — with the understanding that the report itself would be released after the redaction process,” the Justice Department statement said.
The statement also said that every page of Mueller’s report was marked that it may contain grand jury material “and therefore could not immediately be released.”
A Justice Department official, speaking Thursday on condition of anonymity to discuss a confidential process, said summaries of the findings that Mueller’s team included as part of its report also contained grand jury information, making it hard for a swift release.
Barr has said that while Mueller did not establish a criminal conspiracy between Russia and the Trump campaign, the special counsel left open a decision on whether the president had tried to obstruct the Russia investigation. The Mueller team laid out evidence on both sides of the question in a way that neither established a crime nor exonerated Trump, according to Barr’s letter.
Barr has said that he and Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein determined that Mueller’s evidence was insufficient to support an obstruction allegation.
Barr said he was continuing to work with Mueller’s office on redactions to the report so that it could be released to Congress and the public.

Reverse the genders and this is all over the news.
Muffet McGraw, the head coach of the Notre Dame women’s basketball team, explained why she plans on no longer hiring men.
In a recent interview with Think Progress, the 63-year-old Hall of Fame coach, said she would never hire another male assistant coach and believed women can do more to help each other. When asked by the media outlet if she ever planned on hiring another male coach, she said, “No.” McGraw has had an all-female staff for the past seven years.
“Women need the opportunity. They deserve the opportunity,” she said.

Another case of gender inequality. The ACLU should sue her Yea, isn't that a case of clear discrimination? No, only white males can be racist/sexist. Conversly, any discrimination, hate speech, or sexism done against white males is okay. In all seriousness though...its getting harder every day to keep my boys from getting more concervative/right wing as I truly don’t have any good answers about the acceptance of sexism/racism that’s allowed...if its done to them. All my years of teaching them tolerence are being flushed down the toilet by the people who claim to be all about inclusion. Confusing stuff for teenagers.

China cheats again:
Don't try this at home, kids.
Two engineering students in Oregon are accused of trying to swap fake iPhones for new ones. Federal prosecutors, according to the Oregonian, say the students imported more than 2,000 fake iPhones and sent them back to Apple for exchanges.
Once they got the new ones, they sent the real ones back to China for resale, via a middleman, prosecutors say.
Lawyers for Yangyang Zhou and Quan Jiang, who are in the United States on student visas, told the Oregonian they would be vindicated.
According to the Verge, Apple actually accepted their return requests, which cost the company $895,800, according to the complaint.
Jiang, in the complaint, told prosecutors that Apple never informed him that the phones were stolen or counterfeit.
However, the investigation has been going on since 2017, when prosecutors sent cease-and-desist letters to Jiang, accusing him of selling counterfeit goods. In the prosecutor's notes, he said that Jiang admitted to handing in over 2,000 phones to Apple for replacements. Additionally, he said the money he received for his time and effort went to his mother back home in China, who would deposit the proceeds in an account he could access in the U.S.
Apple Store employees accepted the phones for return under Apple's warranty because the pair was able to prove that the fake phones couldn't power on.

A couple of days ago we had an argument with cjellika about some activity she wants to do claiming it'll get her better chances to get into a school like UCLA, Stanford or Princeton. I told her, "I don't want you to go to Stanford or Princeton, I'd rather have you go to TCU or BYU."
In a seminar at the University of California-Los Angeles in recent days, the featured speaker likened Argentinian doctor and Fidel Castro’s fellow guerrilla fighter to Jesus Christ, a glorification long controversial because of the revolutionary figure’s involvement in the executions and torture of Cubans who were considered traitors.
UCLA Professor Emeritus of Art History David Kunzle, who was invited by the university’s religion department, according to Campus Reform, told the audience at the lecture: “Che Guevara, once the epitome of armed struggle, has evolved to an avatar of justice, peace, and love, as Jesus always was but no longer is exclusively.”
The presentation was called: “Chesucristo: The Fusion in Image and Word of Che Guevara and Jesus Christ.”
Kunzle depicted Guevara as “a quasi-divine cosmic force.”
