The New York Times exposed yet again:
The New York Times suddenly made a major revision to a supposed bombshell piece late Sunday concerning a resurfaced allegation of sexual assault by Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh — hours after virtually all 2020 Democratic presidential candidates had cited the original article as a reason to impeach Kavanaugh.
The update included the significant detail that several friends of the alleged victim said she did not recall the purported sexual assault in question at all. The Times also stated for the first time that the alleged victim refused to be interviewed, and has made no comment about the episode.
The only firsthand statement concerning the supposed attack in the original piece, which was published on Saturday, came from a Clinton-connected lawyer who claimed to have witnessed it.
The Times' revision says: "Editors' Note: An earlier version of this article, which was adapted from a forthcoming book, did not include one element of the book's account regarding an assertion by a Yale classmate that friends of Brett Kavanaugh pushed his penis into the hand of a female student at a drunken dorm party. The book reports that the female student declined to be interviewed and friends say that she does not recall the incident. That information has been added to the article."
The update came only after The Federalist's Mollie Hemingway, who reviewed an advance copy of the book, first flagged the article's omission on Twitter — prompting other commentators to press the issue.
"It’s important to point out that this correction almost certainly would have never occurred if conservative media folks like @mzhemingway and others hadn’t obtained the copy of the actual book itself the same day the excerpt/article was released," author James Hasson said.
Throughout the day on Sunday, Kamala Harris, Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Beto O'Rourke, Cory Booker and Julian Castro, among others, declared that Kavanaugh "must be impeached," citing the allegation.

The so called community: A North Carolina woman was held as a sex slave and repeatedly beaten and tortured in front of her two children. The woman -- who remains unnamed -- was allegedly held against her will at two separate hotels in Pineville, North Carolina where police say “she was forced into sexual acts with random men,” according to a statement from the Pineville Police Department. The suspects, Thomas Antoine Miller and Shakeeta Lasha Adams, then allegedly physically and mentally punished the woman if she did not meet certain financial quotas. (MORE: Texas police find 8-year-old girl safe after she was kidnapped walking down the street with her mother) “The punishments range from verbal abuse, to beatings with a belt, being held under water/ice bath in a bathtub while being strangled, and burned/branded with a hot wire coat hanger. This violence was done in front of her two children and they were beaten as well with a belt at times,” read the police statement.

The Women's March recently cut ties with three of its inaugural board members who had drawn accusations of anti-Semitism and mismanaging finances.
The Washington Post first reported that co-chairs Linda Sarsour, Tamika Mallory, and Bob Bland stepped down from the organization's board last month and that it had recently reorganized its leadership. The new board includes three Jewish women, a transgender woman, and a member of the Oglala Tribe of the Lakota nation.
Sarsour, an activist and currently a campaign surrogate for Bernie Sanders, said the board was "AMAZING" in a text message to the Post. She expressed gratitude to the women now. serving on the board, saying, "This is what women supporting women looks like."
The Women's March has been roiled by internal discord over the past year, which experts say splintered the movement and undermined its effectiveness. Earlier this year, it stopped a years long effort to to trademark the words "women's march."
"There's an opportunity here for a group to rise out of the ashes of divisiveness and continue on with the mission that was the Women's March, and, honestly, that would be wonderful," said Dana R. Fisher, a sociology professor at the University of Maryland told the Post.

Among the controversies surrounding the Women's March co-chairs, Mallory had boasted on social media of her attendance at an event hosted by the Nation of Islam where Louis Farrakhan made overtly bigoted and conspiratorial remarks about Jews.
The Women's March tried to address the outrage, but its leaders didn't denounce Farrakhan, who regularly makes anti-Semitic, homophobic, and misogynistic statements.

I wonder why the news misses certain details: Here is the story: Nearly a year after randomly attacking jogger Wendy Martinez with a knife in Washington, D.C., Anthony Crawford was sentenced to 30 years in prison for killing the newly-engaged woman. PEOPLE confirms that Crawford, 24, received his sentence from D.C. Superior Court Judge Craig Iscoe on Friday. Back in June, Crawford appeared in court to plead guilty to first-degree murder in the death of Martinez, 35. Martinez was jogging through a residential neighborhood when Crawford randomly lunged at her, stabbing her several times. The September 18, 2018, attack was captured by surveillance cameras. After her attack, Martinez desperately stumbled into a local Chinese restaurant covered in her own blood. Once inside, she collapsed, prompting customers to rush to her aide. RELATED: Mom of Jogger Stabbed to Death in D.C. Says She Has ‘No Hate’ for Her Daughter’s Killer Martinez was later transported to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead. Here is the victim: Here is the perp: The murder happened a week after Martinez became engaged.

An American Airlines mechanic accused of sabotaging a navigation system on a flight with 150 people aboard at Miami International Airport was denied bond by a federal judge on Wednesday after prosecutors suggested he may have links to a Middle East terrorist organization.
Abdul-Majeed Marouf Ahmed Alani, a 60-year-old veteran employee, told investigators after his arrest earlier this month that he disabled the system because he was upset over stalled union contract negotiations with the airline and wanted to generate some overtime for maintenance on the plane. He said he meant no harm to anyone, and the July 17 flight was aborted before takeoff after an error alert appeared on the navigation system.
But federal prosecutors revealed new information about possible motives that prompted Magistrate Judge Chris McAliley to keep Alani behind bars, ruling that he posed a danger to the community and a flight risk.
“I have evidence before me that suggests you could be sympathetic to terrorists,” McAliley said, calling his alleged tampering with the aircraft “highly reckless and unconscionable.”
His arraignment on a sabotage-related charge is scheduled for Friday; if convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison.
At his detention hearing, prosecutors said that since his arrest investigators with the FBI-led Joint Terrorism Task Force have learned that Alani lied about taking a trip to Iraq in March to visit his brother, and that he told a fellow American Airlines employee in June that his brother had been kidnapped and was a member of the extremist Islamic group known as ISIS.
Prosecutors also said Alani allowed the FBI to search his smartphone and agents found a “disturbing” ISIS video in which a person was being shot in the head, and that he sent the video to someone with an Arabic message asking “Allah” to take revenge against non-Muslims. In addition, they said Alani sent $700 to someone in Iraq, where he was born and has family.
Prosecutor Maria Medetis told the judge that when federal investigators questioned Alani after his arrest on Sept. 5, he told them he had an “evil side” and that he “wanted to do something to delay” the plane “to get overtime” for maintenance repairs. After putting in a double shift on July 17, he actually did some overtime work on the disabled plane. On average, he made $9,400 a month as an American mechanic.
But the prosecutor also said Alani admitted to investigators that his tampering with the plane’s navigation system was dangerous. When they asked him whether he would allow himself or his own family to fly on the jet without the system, he said “no,” Medetis said.
Medetis said investigators also spoke with the American Airlines pilot of the targeted plane, and he said that without a functional navigation system “it could have resulted in a crash.” The plane’s so-called air data module is a system that reports aircraft speed, pitch and other critical flight data to pilots. Alani is accused of disabling the system that served the pilot.

This is bad as murder right? We must demand he step down as this proves he is a racist! Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau apologized Wednesday night soon after a 2001 photo emerged in a Time magazine report showing him wearing brownface makeup to an “Arabian Nights” party at the private school where he was teaching. "I should have known better," Trudeau told reporters. The photo showed Trudeau, then the 29-year-old son of the late former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, donning a white turban and robes, one arm around the neck of a woman and the other grabbing her hand. Trudeau’s face, neck and hands have been darkened significantly. Trudeau said he wore blackface “makeup” in high school to sing “Day-O,” a Jamaican folk song famously performed by African-American singer and civil rights activist Harry Belafonte. “I deeply regret that I did that,” he said.

This guy really would have fit in on SNL:
Shane Gillis joked that Donald Trump would be "the funniest" president "to see get shot" in his first return to stand-up after the comic was fired from "Saturday Night Live" earlier this week.
Gillis was booted from the NBC late-night staple after a YouTube video surfaced of him using a racial slur while discussing a Chinatown neighborhood with another comedian.

EXCLUSIVE: Former GOP Rep. Darrell Issa’s confirmation hearing for a top trade position in the Trump administration was indefinitely delayed Thursday after Senate Foreign Relations Committee Ranking Member Bob Menendez insisted on the release of an FBI background file that sources say shows Issa used a fake ID when he was 17.
Issa, the colorful former chairman of the House Oversight Committee, was nominated a year ago to be director of the U.S. Trade and Development Agency. With the confirmation process at a crawl, he's already signaled he's ready to move on, creating an exploratory committee for a potential run against embattled Rep. Duncan Hunter, R-Calif.
