The agent for Fluery apparently doesn't like Pete DeBoer.

NHL couldn’t schedule two games so they don’t overlap at all? Seriously?

Colorado struck gold with Francouz He's looked pretty average to me tonight He's in his first season in the NHL, and looking average is good. And it's better than Martin Jones. And cheaper, too.

NHL couldn’t schedule two games so they don’t overlap at all? Seriously? NBC wants those East Coast teams playing in primetime. (Boston, cough, Boston) so that's why the overlap. Personally I think it's horseshit

Should have given Barry that new contract eh
ARLINGTON, Va. – The Washington Capitals have relieved head coach Todd Reirden of his coaching duties, senior vice president and general manager Brian MacLellan announced today.
“We have higher expectations for our team, and we felt a fresh approach in leadership was necessary,” said MacLellan. “We would like to thank Todd for all of his hard work and efforts with our organization. Todd has been a big part of our team for more than half a decade, including our Stanley Cup run in 2018, and we wish him and his family all the best moving forward.”
Reirden, 49, was the 18th head coach in franchise history and led the club to a 89-46-16 record from 2018-20.

I watched the Caps often before the virus. They looked great early in the season but were really struggling for about a month before the stoppage. Then, they looked even worse in the playoffs. No idea how a team sinks that far, that fast. I’m still surprised they showed Trotz the door after winning the cup. Barry must have screwed the owners wife or something because letting him go made no sense.

NHL couldn’t schedule two games so they don’t overlap at all? Seriously? They’ve been scheduling all the games with only 2.5 hours for each game...idiots. At least they’re on two different TV channels tonight. Go Bolts...please make Marchand cry again!

At least they’re on two different TV channels tonight. Go Rays...please make Marchand cry again! I think it was understandable when they had 4 games a day to plan for. They fact that they're sticking with it when they have much more time is strange. Maybe they figure that the majority of people don't plan on watching both games.

Barry must have screwed the owners wife or something because letting him go made no sense. Barry's contract was up and they didn't want to pay him the money a Stanley Cup winning coach gets. The owner is cheap and also figured it was the players that won the Cup and the coach didn't have that much to do with it. Now Barry has that Islander team rolling along and the Capitals are playing golf

I saw something yesterday that the Westen conference games starting late here will keep Canadians on the East Coast up until at least 1 AM. You don't build TV ratings when you have the East Coast already in bed. One thing I noticed about the NBA was a lot of the games are earlier so the whole country can watch every minute of every game which I don't because basketball has become to political. The garden gnome is still being controlled by Jacobs in Boston. When that old fucker finally dies maybe the NHL can move forward and quit playing favorites when it comes to ownership

Letting go of Trotz was just the most nonsensical thing. I know he was due a hefty raise but if you don’t think he’s one of the five best coaches in the league we’ve been watching different hockey.
