I can see it. Put Pacific in BC/Alberta, Central in Winnipeg, and alternate Atlantic/Metro in Toronto and Montreal.

So, Goodrow, Coyle, Pavs or PDB?.. Announcers said something interesting in a Vegas game last round. Their assertion was that PDB is successful there because he did NOT try to change the way they play. They said that beyond insisting on a certain basic defensive structure, he allowed them to play the way they wanted to play. So they continue to play the Gallant game of never stop moving, 3 or 4 guys in hot pursuit of the puck at all times, pressure the puck free, create space for moving the puck with a steady stream of holding, interference, gratuitous hitting and the occasional felonious assault. And the biggest thing - they have four lines capable of playing a decent game because of the way their expansion draft was effected, not because of anything DeBoer did. So the Vegases are winning not because of anything DeBoer did but because he is doing NOTHING. Just like he did in San Jose. This explains something I always thought to be true in the era -"his" SJ offense looked an awful lot like McLellan's painfully ineffectual offense. When they could get the puck into the O zone, they would grind and cycle the puck endlessly below the goal line, from which location they couldn't actually score, and then pass it out to Burns at the blue line who would shoot the puck ineffectually into bodies, which would then bounce out into the slot creating scoring chances the other way while all your back checkers were still below the goal line. Great formula for success. Of course that offensive strategy also had the misgiving of depending on two of the worst defensive players in the league, Burns and then later Karlsson, being on the ice for most of the game. Well as long as DeBoer keeps doing nothing in Vegas, they will continue to do well until the success-predicated big contracts catch up with them and they have to sub in some new guys without the same stamina or ethos. I have enjoyed watching Colorado and their success because McKinnon might be the best all around player in the league and his line is probably the 2nd-best line left in the playoffs after the Bergeron line. But they are pretty much a one line team and Vegas will eat and crap them out without even chewing. Dallas actually has a better chance against Vegas because they have at least three decent lines and are in a groove right now. I don't know the east as well but I always liked Boston and they are a solid multi-line team too. With the most skilled line in the playoffs but that wasn't quite enough against another deep, goonish team last year.

via TMZ, It’s unclear exactly what Couture said that led to the alleged punch ... the 31-year-old claims he does NOT support Donald Trump and appeared to say he never voiced a pro-Trump opinion Tuesday. Rather, Couture says he simply said something along the lines of he’d vote for the Republican party if he had a say in the matter. “ saying my dad was a police officer and I ‘would’ if I could vote republican,” Couture said.
We’re out to the Toronto Police Service for more information.

Lots of people on his twitter defending the sucker punch because Logan is expressing "evil/Hate/Nazi" ideas. The irony of this is lost on the angry mob.

Seriously though, good on Couture for saying what he believes even if it’s not popular.

No wonder they dumped the former GM but you have to punish the people of the organization involved and not just the team
NEW YORK (August 26, 2020) -- The National Hockey League has sanctioned the Arizona Coyotes for violating the NHL's Combine Testing Policy during the 2019-20 season, directing the forfeiture of the Club’s 2nd-round pick in the 2020 NHL Draft and 1st-round pick in the 2021 NHL Draft.
The sanctions were announced by Commissioner Gary Bettman, who convened a hearing on the matter August 6 that included testimony from representatives of the Coyotes and the NHL. At the outset of the hearing, the Club acknowledged that it had violated the Policy by conducting physical testing on 2020 draft-eligible players prior to the Combine.
In reaching his decision, Commissioner Bettman outlined key reasons for the Policy’s prohibition on physical testing prior to the Combine: to ensure competitive fairness among Clubs with respect to evaluating and drafting prospects and to avoid subjecting prospects to repeated and duplicative testing procedures.
The sanctions were imposed under Article 6.3 of the NHL Constitution, which authorizes the Commissioner to impose discipline "if he determines . . . that any person . . . has either violated the Constitution, the By-Laws, or any other governing rule or regulation of the League, or has been or is guilty of conduct . . . detrimental to the League or the game of hockey."
Further, Article 6.3 empowers the Commissioner to deprive the offending Club of draft choices "if the conduct in question affects the competitive aspects of the game."
"While the Combine Testing Policy Memoranda reference a fine of “no less than $250,000 for each violation” of the Policy, I exercise my discretion to impose the aforementioned discipline—which I consider to be more appropriate given the specific circumstances of this case," said Commissioner Bettman.
"As for the Club personnel who participated in, or may have contributed to, the Club’s violation of the Policy, I have decided that no discipline shall be imposed on these individuals. While I conclude that certain Club personnel acted in a grossly negligent manner at best, which was conceded by the Club, I ultimately conclude that the record does not establish—to a standard with which I am comfortable—that those individuals engaged in intentional wrongdoing, as opposed to grossly negligent behavior."
The NHL will not comment further on this matter.
GLENDALE, ARIZONA - The Arizona Coyotes issued the following statement today.
“We were advised today of the NHL’s ruling regarding the allegations of physical fitness testing of draft prospects and respect the League’s ruling. Under new leadership, we have added thorough internal controls and compliance measures to prevent this type of occurrence from happening again in the future. We will have no further comment.”

Response to Couture’s tweet is rather telling. Many people eager to call out Couture rather than condemn the act. As Couture said, it’s sad but I’m not surprised.
