Smaller dogs can live longer lives than larger breeds like labs. She has definitely been spoiled rotten her entire life. Sorry to hear. 17 years is a damn fine run though and you gave her a good home. I'm bummed about the large breed issues. Ours is already showing some signs of his legs/hips not being great. And he's already about 8 from our best estimate. You should start him on CBD oil. It works really well for joint issues and arthritis. We started our 17 year old on it a few months ago and it made a huge difference. She struggled to get around because of hip arthritis and now does way better. The best part is it is all natural and it is impossible for your dog to get too much as it won't cause an OD or anything.

huzzah peeps! Work wise - our last week of daily casual wear which means jeans, tennis shoes and t-shirts that are you know school friendly. Next week back to the button up collar and slacks. meanwhile off topic costco sent us a cash card since we bought a washer and dryer from them. So thanks for the 200 bucks, I guess! not complaining so now we must go to get stuff! We bought our last car through Costco and got a $200 cash card as well. Used it for gas.

I bought a car via Costco maybe ten years ago and all I got was a car.

I didn't know Taco Tuesday could be so dangerous
FRESNO, Calif. -- A man has died after competing in a taco eating contest during a minor league baseball game in Fresno, California.
The Fresno County Sheriff's Office says Dana Hutchings, 41 of Fresno died arriving at the hospital Tuesday night.
A spokesperson with the Fresno Grizzlies says Hutchings was taken from the ballpark by ambulance during the early stages of the game, however, they are not releasing details of what happened.
Tuesday night's competition allowed amateurs to qualify for Saturday's World Taco Eating Championship to be held by Major League Eating at Fresno's annual Taco Truck Throwdown.
During the 2018 Taco Eating Championship in Fresno, professional eater Geoff Esper downed 73 tacos in eight minutes.
The Fresno County Coroner's Office says it does not have a ruling on the cause of death, but says they have an idea of what may have led to his death.

No word locally on what the cause of death was. My guess would be he either choked to death or some kind of allergic reaction put him into anaflaxix shock. You wouldn't think a 41 year old would have a sudden coronary or something like that but I guess it is possible. My guess is this is the last time the Grizzlies do anything like that again. The Taco Truck Throwdown games are the hottest ticket of the year for them because it always sells out. They have like 30 taco trucks at the stadium for the game.

In a bit of horrible timing when the story of this man's death was first released one of the banner ads was for the Taco Truck Throwdown.

The guy who died was 41 years old. He told another fan at the game that he was diabetic and had starved himself all day to prepare for the eating contest. Paramedics had to remove food from his airway at the scene.

I know someone diabetic is in serious risk of problems if they go all day without eating.

Another AT&T story. Talked today to someone who as an AT&T business email. AT&T has all of her correct contact and credit card information. She woke up on Monday and her business email, the mail way all of her customers get in touch with her, was down. Spent half a day dealing with AT&T who told her that they took down her business email because she failed to pay a $10 fee at the end of July. They never sent her an invoice for the fee or attempted to bill her credit card which is on file to pay all of her AT&T fees so that her business isn't interrupted.
Talk about a clusterfuck of a company.

mrs. cjelli reports power outage in our neighborhood. What a time to have AC down in 104F. She's taking kids shopping. Should I sue PG&E for the damage this is going to inflict?? danvilleshark, do you have power in your neighborhood?

Nick Kyrgios meltdowns are commonplace, but Wednesday’s display at the Cincinnati Open was petulant even by his standards. The Australian tennis player known better for his outbursts than his game repeatedly lashed out at chair umpire Fergus Murphy during a 6-7, 7-6, 6-2 loss to Russia’s Karen Khachanov. The conflict reportedly started over the shot clock when Murphy referenced Kyrgios’s pace of play during the second set. Kyrgios calls Murphy a potato “Why do I always have problems with this potato in the chair?" Kyrgios said of the Irish umpire. The pair have history. Kyrgios delivered an expletive-filled tirade at Murphy when he disagreed with a call during the Fever Tree Championships in London in June. Kyrgios continued to berate Murphy, eventually earning a court violation for saying: “Every time I play, he’s doing some stupid s---, every time.” After being docked a point before the third set, Kyrgios called for a bathroom break. He took two rackets off the court, where ESPN cameras remained trained on him. Kyrgios smashes rackets during bathroom break Instead of going to the bathroom, Kyrgios instead smashed both rackets in the hallway before returning to the court. After the match, Kyrgios refused to shake Murphy’s hand, instead calling him a 'f---ing tool” before walking off the court for good.

Kyrgios is a punk and I love watching him lose.
