He has crazy hand eye coordination. I get not signing him but would prefer him over a certain D man that they did sign........ Yes, hindsight is always 20/20. I get that Pavs did have a career year with goals but looking back nobody saw him as the center of the sharks mojo. Coupled with EK's complete lack of consistency has been the recipe for disaster. Common sense said Dougie made the right move over the summer but it is apparent the hockey Gods hate the sharks as well as the referee purgatory they have been sentenced to. |

It doesn’t look good now but let’s also remember Pavs is not exactly lighting it up in Dallas either. His numbers line up in the Goodrow/Jumbo/Labanc range. Not what they expected when they signed him for 3y/7M. Might be in buyout territory in things don’t improve in a year. Maybe it’s just a bad fit and Pavelski would be the same 30 goal man he was year after year had he stayed put but there’s no way of knowing now. |
