This looks like 10 separate series...which eight are the “play in” ones? The top four teams in each conference play each other once, that's DAL, VGK, STL, COL, BOS, WAS, PHI, and TBL. Best record out of those games gets top seed. The play in series (best-of-5) are PHX-NSH, CAL-WIN, EDM-CHI, VAN-MIN, TOR-CBJ, NYR-CAR, NYI-FLA, and PIT-MON. The winners of the play-in series play the top four teams in the playoffs, which just progresses as it did before the divisional format. Also remember that one of the losers in the play in series will end up winning a lottery for the first overall pick in the draft. Here is hoping Vegas does not Advance! But then again I call this the Asterisk season anyway! |

I’m pulling for the Canes...but as long as Vegas and Boston don’t win the cup, I’ll be good with whatever happens. oh and the yotes and preds too. After that don't care it it's Edmonton or heck even Chicago. |

But after this long off season, there will be zero reasons for him not to return to form (fully healed). Now the question is does he come back a hero or a turd? On another note, I foresee the use of the Karen insult will be gold. Did Seattle overpay for a team like Vegas did? If so then the favoritism is going to be ridiculous again. So the proverbial "window" is win this next season or go into full rebuild. On paper it doesn't look good enough to make the playoffs let alone actually contend. It might just be a very long year. |

I just dont think you can have two very offensive minded D men on the same team. They both give up defensive responsibilities to push the offense sometimes in a reckless way. You just cant cover for both of them. One has to go. |
