SRVUSD shut the schools down through Apr 13th - 4 weeks. All the schools are closing. Time to take the kids on vacation First, the online instruction has been promised. Second, there's nowhere to go.
In fact we're in a bigger shit here, as much as we could without getting sick. It's likely we shouldn't be selling the house now as we planned. It's also likely we shouldn't go to Columbus as we planned at the start of April to buy the house there. And on top of that, my parents were supposed to arrive on 3/24 from Israel, and we're cancelling it as well. So all plans turn into one big pile of ashes.

This is great. I just made a run to the store. Got mostly what I planned for to at least last us 2 weeks. However TP and Eggs were completely out (and flour - though I at least still have enough for a couple loaves and likely 1-2 lbs of pasta). Going to be nuts if we need to start extending this for more than 4 weeks. My office finally began telling all folks that can do their job remotely to stay home. Not before we had 2 lunches catered last week with the whole building crammed into a room. And multiple folks coughing... At this stage I'm about 80% sure I'll get this thing in the coming week or so just given the office situation for the last couple weeks. Until then, though, I got about 11 beers, 1 bottle tequila, 2 bottles wine, some amaro and a shot or so left of scotch. And some prosecco for JB. I think we are ready to be home bodies.

Unless the supply line somehow gets majorly affected or we are forced to stay indoors, I'm not particularly concerned with stocking up on stuff. Can always run out to the store while everyone else is still living off everything they bought this week.

All I need is beer and i'll be fine

Went to the store here today...like nothing is happening. Nothing out of stock except hand sanitizer. No line like usual, everyone polite and relaxed. Assume it will change when the virus comes to our county. Feels good to be out in the country, well stocked...and armed. I’m far more concerned about the economic impacts for folks at this point. Seems like the government is finally getting it together so hopefully that will slow down the spread rate. Headed to Daytona Beach at O’dark thirty to move my son out of his dorm as his school decided to close. I hope y’all and your friends/family are safe.

When I came to the store, it was out of sanitizers, toilet paper and pasta. Already during my time there toilet paper and pasta was restocked. People who try to compare it to the USSR stores haven't ever seen a USSR store.
In the Russian deli some people were buying ham/bologna/salamis, sprats and egg noodles by dozens... Stay safe out there.

You know it's serious when this happens. Also the local bowling alley that I've been drinking at the last 40 years is closing tonight for two weeks
